How We Check GTA 6 Numbers
The short answer
Every money number on GTA6finance is recorded while playing GTA 6, with a screenshot and the game version, and the page shows the date it was checked. Numbers from previews, leaks or other sites are never published as fact.
Recording a number
Each value is logged during play with the item, the amount, the game version and a screenshot. Payouts that vary, like a robbery, are run at least three times and published as a range rather than one figure.
What counts as confirmed
| Source | How we use it |
|---|---|
| Checked in the game | Published as fact, with the check date |
| Rockstar or a store listing | Published as fact, linked to the source |
| Press previews | Described as what previews show until checked in the game |
| Leaks, insiders, rumours | Only in a clearly marked "not confirmed" section, or left out |
After a game update
When Rockstar patches GTA 6, every value the update could touch is rechecked. Old values are kept in our records, the page is corrected, and its date moves forward. Pages that did not change keep their old date.
